About Us

The Auckland Water Ski Club (Inc) was incorporated the 9th June 1954 and has about 300 members. The Club caters for all forms of water skiing, from casual and social levels to tournament competition and national representation.

AWSC has become the nucleus of tournament water skiing (slalom, trick and jumping) in the Auckland region and nationally.  AWSC members are also active in other waterski disciplines such as wakeboarding and barefooting with specific events run at the Orakei Basin over the last few years.  See our Facebook page for photos from these events.

The Auckland Water Ski Club can cater for most people’s requirements and can offer Internationally Accredited coaching by appointment.
The clubrooms are located only minutes away from the city center, and skiing can be viewed via a 15 minute native bush walk around the scenic Orakei Basin.

The clubrooms and boatshed are located on the southeast bank of Orakei basin. Pedestrian access is obtained via the end of Lucerne road, off Remuera road.
